Our doctors can see four patients in the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit. For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the practice if at all possible.

Home visits are only for house bound elderly patients or for those too ill to attend surgery.  If you feel a home visit is needed please phone between 9.00 AM -10.30 AM. Our practice operates on a telephone triage system regarding requests to be seen the same day, a home visit or the need to discuss urgent matters with the General Practitioner.

When a patient or relative telephones the Surgery the first point of contact is the receptionist. The receptionist makes a note of the call and request in the telephone triage book, which is forwarded, to the doctor on call. That Doctor then “TRIAGES” the call. The doctor in consultation with the patient decides the appropriate course of medical action.
